I believe that effective counseling is joint effort. Both you and I must be actively involved in developing goals and assessing progress. Results are achieved through initiative taken both during sessions and in your daily routine. While there are instances where positive changes in emotions and behaviors may occur rapidly, one must be willing to take gradual, deliberate, and repeated steps over time. Personal growth is achieved through the development of coping skills and gaining confidence that the struggles we face as human beings can be endured and, most importantly, overcome. My ultimate goal is to help you to make your life's activities become increasingly positive experiences.
